01 Oct 2008 - Core Curriculum - Lecture Syllabus Outlines

Please review the attached syllabus outline and submit a fully completed form (either by email, fax or hard copy) to the Office of Education of the Department of Psychiatry

This form will be used to update the curriculum brochure, inform all attendees of the goals of the educational activity or lecture, and ensure that all requested support (AV, laptop, handouts, etc) is in place on a timely basis. Requests for reproduction of materials is available on the form, but note that these requests must be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity. Same day requests may not be honored.

Failure to provide a completed syllabus form may result in unavoidable delays, logistical impediments, or cancellation of your teaching activity. Your attention to this endeavor is sincerely appreciated.

These awards are presented during the final Psychiatry Grand Rounds of the academic year. The awards honor excellence in teaching, supervision, mentoring or related instructional activities in a number of categories designated below. Winners of each award are selected for their ingenuity, clinical skill, innovation, availability, supportiveness, dedication, humanism, respect for diversity, improvement in the teaching process, and introduction of new important subjects:

Nominations for the 2007-2008 Teaching Awards are now being accepted. The initial deadline is March 7, 2008.

These awards are presented annually during Psychiatry Grand Rounds. Their purpose is to honor excellence in teaching, supervision, mentoring or related instructional activities in a number of categories designated below. Nominees for each award are selected for their ingenuity, clinical skill, innovation, availability, supportiveness, dedication, humanism, respect for diversity, improvement in the teaching process, and introduction of new important subjects.
